Regular monthly meeting: Sept 20th with Kevin Callan!
The Richmond Hill Naturalists Speaker For Tuesday evening, 20 September is Kevin Callan.
Kevin Callan is the author of thirteen books, including the best selling “The Happy Camper”, the incredibly popular series of paddling guides, and most reviewed “Wilderness Pleasures: A Practical Guide to Camping Bliss”. On a regular basis, he presents across North America and has been a key speaker at all the major canoe events for over 25 years. Callan is also a frequent guest on radio and television, and field editor for Explore. His writing and photography appears in Canadian Geographic and Ontario Nature and he writes a regular column for Canoeroots Magazine. Callan has hosted several pilots and assisted with BBC, Ray Mears, and the Discovery Channel in film projects. He is also a frequent host on a number of morning shows (Canada AM, Breakfast TV, Ottawa A, Ottawa Roger’s Daytime) and hosts his own CBC Radio show coast to coast titled “The Happy Camper”. He is a winner of four National Magazine Awards and three film awards. He was also made Patron Paddler for Paddle Canada.
Reminder Richmond Hill Naturalists meetings are the Third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. At Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church’s Wallace Hall:

The public is cordially invited to this event. Members are free, for non-members a $5 donation would be appreciated. Parking is free and refreshments will be served.
